EBC Zenda Tolling Kailash tour an Everest Base Camp Tour the EBC Zenda Tolling Kailash tour combines a pilgrimage to Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar with an exploration of the Zenda Tolling area, including the Guge Kingdom ruins, offering a unique blend of spiritual and natural experiences. Zenda Country is home to the old kingdom Guge. As a sovereign estate, it was later disrupted by the civil revolt and the invasion of eight foreign armies. Throughout the kingdom, civil combats and foreign attacks disturbed the peace. It is still unclear what happened to this legendary kingdom. It is still being researched by researchers.
Guge kingdom was established around the 10th century by the heir of a nearby collapsed kingdom. There were 16 kings and thousands of soldiers governing this country for over 700 years. However, power struggles among the imperial family caused anxiety and disorder in society, resulting in civil war in the 1660 AD. It was the brother of the king who sought the help of the ruler of Ladakh (present-day Kashmir), the neighboring country, to gain victory over the disordered state and became successful. A significant part of the development of Tibet was due to the Guge Kingdom, which played a major role in both economic and cultural development. Guge became the center of Buddhism and its version in Tibet, as well as the center of Tibet's international trade.
Guge kingdom in present-day has more than 400 rooms and 800 caves, as well as some fortresses, secret paths, pagodas, armor storerooms, granaries, and many burial sites. This place has been the subject of exploration for more than two hundred years. Rooms of this kingdom are no more than debris, while walls can be seen, except for some temples. The ruins are surrounded by a huge city wall, with fortresses at each corner. There is only one way to get to the top of ancient palaces, temples, and local residences, and that is to discover its secret hidden structure. The structure was designed to demonstrate the supremacy of kings and to ensure the security and protection of these structures. Guge Kingdom Ruins have been designated as a Cultural Relic of National Importance under the protection of the State as a result of their historical and cultural significance.
The ruins contain a wealth of interesting heritage. There are several temples, including the White Temple, Red Temple, Samsara Temple, Imperial Palace, and Assembly Palace. The most valuable and complete artifacts remaining are the portraits of Shakyamuni, the king, queen, prince, and other royal servants, among many other imprints, statues, and murals. Aside from that, pictures of the cultivation of mysterious Buddhas of both sexes are important. The colors and lines of the murals are similar to those of the Mogao caves in Dunhuang City, Gansu province. Mount Kailash (6714m) is a world-famous pilgrimage destination for followers of four different religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Bonpo. Hindus revere Kailash Parvat as the holy abode of Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati, and Tibetans call it the Sparkling Jewel of Snow. There are four holy rivers in Asia, namely the Brahmaputra, the Ganges, the Indus, and the Sutlej, which originate from this bulky peak.
Flying from Lhasa to Kathmandu on the Trans-Himalayan flight allows you to see Mount Everest, the world's tallest summit, as well as the majestic Himalayas. Tibet tour offers the unique opportunity to see the magnificent Himalayas in three dimensions - from south, north, and sky. Tibet tour memories will be filled with the lavishly decorated large monasteries and temples, the saffron colored monks & their traditional lifestyle, as well as the challenging Himalayas.
This place is also home to the Rongbuk Monastery (5000m.) dedicated to Guru Padma Sambhava. Here we can see stunning naked hills and snowy mountains, beautiful scenery everywhere, and the world's highest mountain, Mount Everest. We drive half an hour to reach Everest Base Camp (5200m.). Mount Kailash's four faces and Buddhist symbol, Swastika, make it a more mysterious peak. There are some believers who believe this mountain resembles the Hindu mythological mountain Meru, with its four faces made of four different gems (gold, crystal, ruby, and lapis lazuli). A peak on this mountain is the source of the four great rivers - the Karnali, the Indus, the Sutlej, and the Brahmaputra. There are thousands of devotees who come to the Kailash region with the hope of obtaining 'Moksha', an ultimate salvation. The ritual of circumambulating this holy peak with true intent is called Kailash parikrama and is believed to wipe out all sins known and unknown.
